The need for pictures usually comes from the lack of words to express a feeling or a thought, so I've never had the urge to talk at length about my work. The pictures do it for themselves... Being completely self-taught might explain my non-academic approach to "Art". I have been living in London for 10 crazy years where I work as a freelance graphic artist/painter. The Cow & Chicken were actually painted with oils on 30x40" canvas in about 4 days I think, the deadline was stupidly short and the paint wasn't even dry when we scanned it. Cloud were painted with acrylics on separate canvas boards, scanned and put though AfterEffects to animate.
The bottom ones are a sample of the 2001 Xmas promos we did for them. The brieffing was: "do something colourful and original. You got two weeks". That was pretty much it. We came up with those reindeer characters and made 5 x 10seconds "bumps" that were such a hit that 3 countries ended up using them. It was quite rewarding on that level...
